Random thoughts amidst the pandemic

So tonight I feel very reflective. My friend had nonchalantly asked, who are you most grateful to in the midst of the pandemic?

Of course, family, friends, health care workers, essential workers, Dr. Fauci and OF COURSE, Lyndsey Gallagher.

My heart will always be filled with gratitude and respect not only for her ability as a lawyer/ advocate but more so for her compassion as a human being.

In the midst of my frantic search to find help for my son’s predicament in school, I found this beautiful soul. There is something to be said about being lifted from a place of confusion and desperation to a place of hope and validation.

When you’re standing in the middle of an arena determined to win the fight for your child, would you not want an ally who is undeterred and unwilling to give up? Her sheer resilience and energy matched my determination and dedication to fight for my son.

With her there’s always a feeling of comfort, never abandonment; a warm hug, never a cold treatment; understanding, never doubt.

My prayers were intense, purposeful and humble as I asked for guidance, strength and wisdom. When I found Lyndsey, I knew God had answered my unrelenting prayers. There is no shame in asking for help. There are battles you fight alone; there are battles you fight with an army. Lyndsey stood with our family like a fierce warrior. With her, we never felt alone. She was there to assist, educate, calm and defend. She was both reassuring and supportive, never condescending and arrogant.

I know that the road of life is strewn with both laughter and tears. I know that just as we celebrate triumphs and successes we must be prepared to battle life’s adversities. The knowledge that someone like Lyndsey is out there to shine a light on your darkest hour is a comfort that not only soothes, it actually HEALS.
They say you never forget the people who stood with you when you’re at your lowest.  I concur.

We will remain forever grateful to you, Lyndsey Gallagher, pandemic or not.

We will forever be grateful for all that Lyndsey has done for our family. 2022 was the worst year of my life. We have lots of experience with special needs, trauma and IEPs, but things definitely got so much harder for one of our kids in high school. She listened to our story and wanted to get to know our son. Even before she knew anything about who we were as people, she showed us all empathy because she too is a mother. She prepared us and walked every step of the way with us. Her confidence helped me feel confident. She cried with us and then celebrated with us when our case was won. Most importantly, our son knows someone believed in him and fought for him. Every kid deserves to know they are worth fighting for.

Navigating through the world of education is not easy but its even harder when your child has a learning disability. Lyndsey is a person that you want there fighting with you to help make sure that your child gets what they need. Sometimes you don’t know what you need but I’m glad I had Lyndsey who was there to help not only my child—but help me to support him better.

Compassion, integrity, and a genuine love of law are not typically associated with lawyers by the general public. I can attest that Lyndsey has all of those qualities and lives out her mission of justice for the most vulnerable. We have had multiple cases together over the years. I have seen firsthand her passion and skill negotiating and securing services. It is powerful to see the difference in services offered when a family has a talented lawyer representing their child.

I have known Lyndsey for many years through our children. I hadn’t seen her in a while and happened to run into her at just the right time. It was such a relief. I had hired an attorney and was feeling really uneasy about signing something I didn’t want for my child. Lyndsey stepped in and walked us through every step of the way, she was so patient and easy to talk to. My son went from reading well below grade level in the 5th grade to entering middle school fully remediated and supported appropriately. She helped us see what the possibilities are for our son and get the right supports in place. She gets it, she’s a mom too, and she always makes your child feel seen and fought for. We are so grateful for all she has done for us. I highly recommend her, she truly cares.

We are incredibly thankful for Lyndsey Gallagher’s dedication and strong advocacy for our son. When he faced the heartbreaking situation of being denied the opportunity to walk at his high school graduation, Lyndsey stepped in with remarkable speed and determination.

Within just 36 hours, Lyndsey not only identified the issue but also tirelessly advocated for our son’s rights. Her support meant more than words can express, as she not only resolved the situation but also stood by us with empathy and understanding. Thanks to her efforts, our son was able to achieve this significant milestone, and we celebrated together as a family.

Lyndsey’s advocacy goes beyond professionalism; it reflects her genuine care and commitment to making a positive impact on children and families. We are deeply grateful for her support and would recommend her wholeheartedly to anyone in need of dedicated advocacy.
